Measures to improve the survival rate of piglets

In winter, the incidence of gastrointestinal diseases in piglets began to increase. In order to help the vast number of breeding farms to improve the feeding management and improve the survival rate of piglets, the national pig industry technology system put forward four technical measures to strengthen the feeding management of piglets. The measures are as follows:
1. Strengthen disease prevention and control in piglets
We will continue to strengthen the regular prevention and control of African swine fever, and strengthen the purchase and introduction of pigs for testing.
For epidemic diarrhea, we should do a good job of population immunization and strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control of piglet epidemic disease.
2, strengthen feed nutrition control
According to the feed intake and lactation of sows, improve the dietary nutrition level and feed palatability good feed, piglets should timely supplement feed to fully meet the nutritional needs.
3. Strengthen piglet feeding management
Fixed teat training: Adjust the teat position according to the weight of the piglet
Eat colostrum early: newborn piglets eat full colostrum six hours before birth
Prevent trampling: install guardrail and nursery, sleep separately
Scientific weaning: Plan to reduce sows' milk production for the first 5 days of weaning, forcing piglets to eat feed, and adopt the method of eating less and more meals after weaning.
4. Strengthen environmental control

Raise the temperature of the piggery and control the humidity temperature.
